HallPhilosophical Research Society, Inc.1976, softcover, English text, like new condition.Rare and hard to find book.\"The Secret Destiny of America\" by Manly P. Hall explores the idea that the United States was not merely a political entity, but the result of a deliberate, long-term plan by mystical and philosophical organizations, with roots reaching back a thousand years before the nation's founding. The book suggests that America was chosen as a location for an experiment in self-government and religious freedom, influenced by figures like Francis Bacon and secret societies. Hall posits that the concept of Atlantis, described by Bacon as the \"New Atlantis,\" represents a long-lost ideal of enlightened self-government, and that the founding of America was the fulfillment of this ideal. Ancient Wisdom and Mystical Orders:The book delves into the influence of ancient wisdom traditions, including those of the Maya and Aztecs.
